The story of the DCLR.

Updated: Apr 17, 2019

The Delaware Coast Line Railroad (DCLR) was a short-line railroad located in Sussex County, Delaware. The company operated two lines on track owned by the State of Delaware: one running from Ellendale east to Milton and another running from Georgetown east to Cool spring. The railroad interchanged with the Delmarva Central Railroad in Ellendale and Georgetown. It stopped operating because one of the bridges that was used by the DCLR collapsed. The state didn't pay money to fix it because it was not worth it to them. The DCLR could not continue operations without the bridge, so it stopped operating.

Here is the DCLR's no 182.
